It became an international hit, peaking at #5 on the Billboard Hot 100, and charting highly in many European countries. It was also ranked at #90 on the list of the 100 Worst Songs Ever by Matthew Wilkening of AOL Radio, who commented, "Fame must have messed with [Johnson's] head, because Ol' Crockett really thought he could pull this off."[1]
